Polished floors

While I wasn't looking Ken the (apparently ultra secretive) Floor Polisher pulled a fast one and completed the floor sanding and first coat of polishing!

Our current house has satin finished floors in a warm treacle colour. The satin finish is a bit soft and when Ebony chases the cats up and down the hallway it tends to scratch the floor a fair bit. As a result we decided to go with high gloss polyurethane this time around for the added strength, even though I know it's not the most environmentally friendly. I'm thrilled with the almost finished result so far and the colour of the boards is perfect too.

A beautiful blonde surprise!

The view into the bathroom.

Slightly disturbing stains in one of the bedrooms ... a neighbour was telling me that an older gentleman lived in the house with his brother and their even older mother. I'm trying not to think too hard about what those stains could be from ... eek!

oh stain dramas, we had one just the same from water damage in the old bathroom! In the end its just a good excuse to go buy a gorgeous new chair to cover it!
