We recently had a little break at the beach, thought the boy was back to make use of time in the house sans napper to get things done.

Though some of us were surprisingly less excited about the sand and waves than expected ...

... though with a little practice, and the discovery of some perfectly sized rock pools (so as to avoid the waves) things were looking up by the end of the fortnight!

A bit of lightning illuminated wild weather

I had to take about a million photos on the high speed capture setting to show the river we get in the drainage easement at the bottom of our block when it rains enough. My poor little camera and I don't quite have lightening fast reflexes!

Did you miss me? We've been so incredibly busy these last (more than) few days. Here's a quick catch up ...

I scraped some more paint.



The boy got the verandah rails finished.



Ross the Painter finished the side of the house ...



and part of the front.







A friend with horses dropped round some veggie patch fertilizer.





The boy put up part of the downstairs battens ...



and I painted them.





And somehow in between I managed to stalk some un-supecting wildlife and potter in the yard a bit.
