Bathtubs, Belt Rails and Bathroom Tiles

Today we did some running about, picked up the tiles for the Bathroom, our new Bathtub for the En-suite and some belt rail (wall bracing to us lay-persons!) for the new Bathroom/En-suite wall.

I thought that I would have some photos of my newly extended Kitchen, but my darling only got part of the wall removed before Pat the Carpenter suggested it might be easier to put the new laminated beam up first and then cut the VJ's to suit. Damn I hate anything that gets in the way of a good, solid demolition session!

Anyway, I do have some photos of the stirrup set up for the new front staircase ...

I've been told that the stairs are still at least two weeks away, which is intensely irritating because it means that not much else will happen inside till they're up. The new bathtub has to be stored in my brother-in-laws carport for example, because there's nowhere to store it at Toxteth.

Anyway, I guess it's good for me to practice patience. I don't have to enjoy it though!

I like the blue trim on your doors.

Hmmm ... sadly that blue trim will be long gone in the (hopefully) not to distant future as I'm pretty sure it's lead paint.
