When the house was raised the stairs had to be removed because (of course) they were now too short. Our current method of access is this rather beautiful ladder onto the back verandah!

I'm told that the re-stumpers will be back this week to remove the supports and that the stairs may be on in a fortnight or so, but I'm not believing it until I see it!

Our one and only toilet, somewhat the worse for wear ... if worst comes to worst I may use it, but at this point we'd have to be unable to afford baked beans before I'd move in without an INSIDE toilet.
And here is one of the major reasons I fell in love with this beaten up old beauty ... the front door. One of our neighbours thinks that she recalls it originally belonged on "the oldest pub in Queensland" which prior to its demolition (such sacrilege!), resided somewhere in Ipswich.

Oh anna, its a beautiful door. I don't know about the dunny, you could use it.. its has character. You know come to think of it I could see you in the dunny and david in the bath, perfect marital bliss really!
I'm sure the neighbours would LOVE that little picture!
