Sydney Weekend

Last weekend I was in Sydney visiting my darling. Knowing me as well as he does, he suggested that I come up with a list of shops I might like to visit while I was down. So we spend a lovely couple of days window shopping. Here are some of our discoveries.

We dropped into the Domayne Bathroom Design Center in Alexandria to have a look at some bathroom tiles and I couldn't resist ducking next door to have a look at SPACE furniture. I've never been to the one in Brisbane, because I've never felt expensive enough!

I just love these cute little light bulbs with wings.

Buy me a pony?!

Actually, I think I'd prefer a terrace house!

I've noticed that I have a bit of a thing for dilapidated homes in need of a little love.

I need a Metter's vintage kitchen carousel. Spotted in the March-April InsideOut mag and in the flesh at Quintessential DuckeggBlue. Sigh, it warms the cockles of my little organisational obsessed heart.

I'd also love to own some of Kirsten Coelho's work @ Helen Stephens Gallery

A glazing technique I'd like to try out at pottery.

I couldn't resist these beautiful roof tops.

Or this strangely half dead pine tree.

And finally, we visited the beach at Garie in the Royal National Park. Simply beautiful, though at around 16 degrees the water was a little cool for me. I stayed in till my ankles were numb and then we headed off!

I'm in love with the way the change rooms sit so lightly in the surrounding landscape.

I know! It was a perfect day and so funny for both of us being Queenslanders, all the Sydney folk were going on about how terribly hot it was!
